If you have selected Parcels through Select, Search or Buffer, you can print off mailing labels to send a message to the owners. You might want to warn them about problems with the water from a particular well, tell them that their water will be shut off, or warn the neighbors to a chemical spill about the danger.
Do this using the Reporting
and Mailing Labels tool
on the Main
Toolbar.
Try it out!
Ensure that the 'parcel' layer A group of features that you can view on a map, such as parcels, water mains and street names. is activated.
Use zoom and pan tools to locate and magnify the portion of the map where the parcels you are interested in are located.
Use Select, Buffer or Property Search to select the parcels you want mailing labels for.
Click
Reporting and Mailing Label Tool
on the Main
Toolbar
Select Mailing Labels to open this dialog box:
Select the Label Type (Mailing or Site Address) to generate.
Select the Export Type (Word or Rich Text Format).
Select the appropriate Label Template according to your labels product. You can see the size details in the Label Information area.
Click Generate Labels to create a document that you can format and print as usual.
