Tutorial
GeoViewer Online has many built-in features which may not be entirely obvious just by looking at the screen with all its tools.
Use the tutorial to familiarize yourself with the program while performing tasks that you need.
If you work your way through the tutorial task by task, you will learn how to:
Find your way around the GeoViewer Online home page (Task 1)
Display different layers A group of the same type of features that you can view on a map, such as parcels, water mains or street names. The data for each layer resides in a database table, where each individual feature of the layer is represented by a row, and the data connected with the feature (i.e. house number, APN, etc.) is stored in fields (columns) in the table. and observe the many features incorporated in the maps (Task 1)
View the maps (Task 2)
Bookmark A section of a map that you save to view later in the same session. Nobel Systems can set up permanent bookmarks for you. a particular view so you can return to it (Task 2)
Obtain information about selected features A piece of information that can be displayed on the map such as a parcel number,fire hydrant, or aerial photograph. Each individual feature is represented by a row in a query table. (See "table") (Task 3)
Select various features A piece of information that can be displayed on the map such as a parcel number,fire hydrant, or aerial photograph. (See "table"): directly, searching for particular information, or by using a query Criteria for selecting features or layers on a map using the SQL language. (Task 4 and 5)

Many toolbar images have Image map A link from a particular area of an image. Most images of toolbars and menus in this Online Help link to the topic and show a tooltip about the link. links with tool tips A little yellow box that appears when you hold the cursor over a button, which tells you what the button is for. On the main toolbars most tools are identified with text, but tooltips are very useful in tools like the Image Viewer. and links to the Reference section.
When you click a link, the topic you started from is always highlighted gray in the menu, so it is easy to find your way back.
