Use Select
Features from the Main Toolbar to
select particular features. Selected parcels are hatched with yellow.
Other selected features are shown as aqua. Use selected

In the Layers tab, check the layers you want to select.
Zoom in so it is easier to distinguish individual features.
Click the Select
Features tool.
Click the feature to select it. If you have selected a parcel, it is hatched with yellow. Otherwise it turns aqua. Several features may be selected if they are close, or if one feature lies within another.
Click an upper corner of the area with the features you want to select.
Hold the left mouse button down.
With the cursor, drag a (blue) box around an area that touches the features you want to select.
Release the mouse button. All features even partly within the box are selected.

from the Advanced Toolbar for more
specific selections.
Use the Selection
Click the Reporting
and Mailing Labels tool
to use the selection for custom reports, exporting data or creating mailing
labels.
Use
the Clear
button on the Main
Toolbar to
de-select all of the highlighted features and any annotations on the map.
