HotLinks Layers Queries Search
When I am using a tool, it seems that the program is not reacting. How do I know what is happening?
You are working with a lot of information. Usually the Processing banner appears to show that something is happening. You can also check to see if there are green loading lines in the task bar at the bottom of the screen.
The response time seems very slow. How can I speed it up?
Turn on only the layers you need to view. Having extra layers (particularly layers with a lot of information, such as aerials) turned on slows down your internet speed.
Why doesn't
the Hotlink
tool work?
Check
the Hotlink Manager (if it is implemented
for your service) from the Service
Specific Tools
on the Advanced
Toolbar to see which layers and features have the Hotlink linked to
them.
I turned on the street names layer but none are visible.
Only the layers marked in red in the Layer list are visible when you are zoomed way out. Use the navigation tools to zoom in closer. If street names still are not visible, you may be viewing an area of the map outside of the city limits. Use the Overview Map to see where you are.
Can I stop a query Criteria for selecting features or layers on a map using the SQL language. after I click Run if it turns out to be too large?
No. Clicking the Stop button in your browser appears to stop the query, but it is still running in the background.
Why can't I see the Statistics?
You probably have a pop-up blocker on. Make sure that all your blockers accept http://www.geovieweronline.net/.
I see the name of a street on the map in the main window. Why can't the search tool find the record?
Even though
the street is on the map in the main window, it may not be within the
city boundary. Turn on the Overview
Map
to see where you are
related to the city boundary.
