Exporting Attributes to Excel

You can export database attributes A particular item of data about a feature of selected features A piece of information that can be displayed on the map such as a parcel number,fire hydrant, or aerial photograph. Each individual feature is represented by a row in a query table. (See "table") as a delimited file directly to an Excel worksheet.

Export attribute data using the Reporting and Mailing Labels tool on the Main Toolbar.

Try it out!

  1. Ensure that the appropriate layers A group of features that you can view on a map, such as parcels, water mains and street names. are activated.

  2. Use zoom and pan tools to locate and magnify the portion of the map where the parcels you are interested in are located.

  3. Use the Select,  Buffer or Search tools to highlight features you want data for.

  4. In the Reporting and Mailing Label Tool on the Main Toolbar select Export Attributes to open this dialog box:

  1. Select the appropriate layer and file type.

  2. Click Export Data.

  3. In the File Download box, click Save.

  4. Select the location, name the file and click Save.
